EQUIPMENT

We have had several new additions to our rolling stock of equipment. Right now, we can field one 250 gal. Brush Truck, Four Pumpers (all over 1000 gal. cap.), One 3000 gal. Pumper Tanker, A heavy Rescue Truck, three ambulances in service, two transport vehicles (a suburban and a new 13 seat van), and a boat. We also have a veteran American Lafrance antique on site. We have recently been in the process of replacing some very old pieces of equipment and so we are better than halfway there towards a fairly modern fleet of Fire-Fighting apparatus.

This is our basic fire and rescue equipment: click on an image to see the larger version. (Detailed images will be posted soon...)

  401

401 is our newest Engine and is the first out truck on the line.

  402

402 is an early La France Engine. We had some damage due to vandalism in the past and had her completely redone inside and out. She cost a pretty penny, but turned out great! Now we need a trailer to tow her to parades and such.

  403

403 has had many jobs and was our first line of attack for brush fires as well as the normal duties. 404 is our new brush engine for that purpose. But 403 still can do the job, holding much more water than most modern brush trucks at 1100 gallons, yet is still light enough for off road work.

  404

404 is a brush engine with a 250 gallon capacity water tank in the bed and multiple nozzels all around.

  405

405 will transport ten firemen to the scene.

  407

407 has been around a long time here, but is still a workhorse of an engine, with two SCBA jumpseats in the rear cabin.

  Tanker 4

Tanker 4 is our newest acquisition. It holds 3000 gallons and can dump that much in only a minute!

  R-1

R-1 is our heavy Rescue vehicle. It contains a powerful generator that runs scene lighting, air compressors, the Hurst rescue tools, etc. R-1 has a cascade bottle system for replenishing SCBA air bottles for Firefighters on the scene. It is heavily stocked with whatever other equipment we might need for any emergency rescue situation.

  A1 & A2 & A3

A-1 through A-3 are the often used Ambulances that are an integral part of our whole company. Providing needed income and assistance to our community.

  Our New A-2

This is the new Ambulance, just placed in service. Our old A-2 will be going to another company hopefully, to continue to help saving lives.

  R-2

R-2 is our boat. Since Snow Hill is situated on the Pocomoke River in the heart of Maryland's Eastern Shore and not far from the coastal bays, we are ready for rescues anytime and anyplace.

  S-1

S-1, a Chevy Suburban, is our all around "get me there" vehicle. Used to haul firemen to the scene or to classes when needed. We recently purchased a thirteen seat van to add to that. Pictures will follow as soon as its lettered.
